Any thoughts on using the honeywell 5800SS1 shock sensor. Interested why this is not sold or recommended when it is the only shock sensor on the market that goes with the 2gig system out of the box.
Unfortunately, we don’t carry this product as we only stock what we have demand for, so I cannot speak to its design/quality. It appears that this unit only detects glass break and not window open/close so if that’s a concern for you as well, I would look elsewhere.
One could use a DW10-Thin door/window contact with a hardwired glass break sensor like the GE-5150W
to achieve reliable glass break/shock sensor with the functionality of a door/window contact.
I just put mine together. Learned in OK & tested.
Oh, and I used the cheap DW10 reproductions on eBay.
