I have an issue on occasion where my alarm panel says all sensors are closed, but alarm.com and the app report there is a sensor open.
It happens pretty randomly, is there something that can remedy this?

In order to better help you let’s get some more information first.
Hi Tyler, thanks for the response:
Also it appears that this issue is more common if a sensor was left open when the system was armed and then shut after the system was armed. For example, arming system when Garage Door sensor is open, the sensor will obviously be bypassed when alarm is set to active, but after the door shuts after alarm is active the sensor never reports a closed status.
Thanks for your help!
Brian
The sensor remains open for potentially days according to Alarm.com, while the panel at home will report all sensors are closed.
This is strange, for sure. Have you tried power cycling the panel and seeing if the issue still occurs? Power down for 2+ minutes, AC first, then battery. Then after a few minutes, plug back in, battery first. (the goal here is to have the module power cycle.)
This has happened to me on a couple of occasions with two different hardwired window sensors. The GC2 show all zones closed, but ADC will report a window as being open still. Opening and closing it resets it in ADC. In fact, this happened again yesterday. Power cycling the panel made no difference for me.
Also, it seems to happen to me when I close several windows at once.
What is the firmware on your panel?
Interesting, so changing multiple sensor statuses at once seems to result in ADC not receiving an update for one of them?
The panel is the only thing that determines sensor and alarm status, ADC is informed by the panel upon status change, so this is affecting whether ADC has the latest info. I’ll do some testing on this myself.
I haven’t been able to reproduce this effect.
One thing to remember is the 3 minute delay in ADC contact signals. Two like signals from the same sensor will see a 3 minute delay before registering again, to prevent data overlaod for activity monitoring. Any of these sensors opened and closed a couple times in quick succession?
Are the wireless sensors being affected by this farther from the panel than most others?
The one mentioning hardwired zones, are these being used with a Take-345?
My panel firmware is 1.14. The sensor are wired to a take345.
The sensor is open for quite some time before being closed again. Interestingly, it has never happened with the door sensors which are the same types of sensor wired to the take345.
Ah, so you are only seeing it on sensors programmed as perimeter? Is that correct?
