Is it possible to create a sensor type that does not report to the CS but will still show fault on the panel?
I created a wireless zone with a Honeywell D/W 5816 loop 1 contact to monitor if a door is locked. I would like to see this status on the panel, but never report an alarm condition for this. My thoughts for this is I would be unable to ARM the system if the door is not locked, which would, in turn, remind me to lock the said door.

Sensor Type (23) No Response Type is used for this purpose. The sensor will send status to Alarm.com and can be used for chimes/notifications, but it will never locally trip an alarm and no activity from it is forwarded to the monitoring center.

A couple clarifications:
(23) No Response Type sensors do not impact whether or not you can arm the system. You cannot edit this.
Do you mean you wish to monitor when the door is open vs closed? Or do you mean locked? Are you talking about installing a plunger sensor behind a deadbolt strike plate? I’m not envisioning how else that would be done, unless this is a commercial electric lock with output relay on the control board.
What you are discussing is more easily accomplished using a compatible Z-wave door lock and an automation rule. You could just set up automatic Alarm.com reminders if the door is not locked after a certain time, and you can even lock the door automatically whenever you arm the system if desired.
I am using a plunger wired contact connected to the Honeywell 5816. The plunger is depressed when the deadbolt is in the lock position making the zone normally closed (no fault).
I understand I can do this with a Z-Wave door lock, in fact, I have one on my front door and it works great, however, for this door (my basement door) I want to know on the panel if it’s locked. I know I can see it on the Alarm.com app but I’d rather see it on the panel and not be able to ARM at night when going to bed as a reminder to walk down there and lock the door.
2 reasons for not using a Z-Wave door lock on this particular door; 1) double cylinder is not available and 2) cost.
It sounds as if this is not possible unless you know of a configuration I can try to accomplish this?
Hmm, well actually if your only goal is to have a local panel reminder, you could simply program the sensor as Perimeter sensor type, and Disable Reports.
Disabling Reports on that sensor makes it so activity and alarms from that zone are not forwarded to either the CS or Alarm.com at all.
This would work as long as the following is ok:
You would never have access to status of that sensor in Alarm.com.
It could still cause a local alarm, and the siren would sound, but as long as it is the only sensor tripped nothing would be forwarded.
