Sensor selection: 2GIG vs Honeywell 5800 series

Hi,

Can you make suggestions on whether I should be leaning one way or the other? I already have 2GIG GC3 Panel with Verizon LTE module and will be activating it soon with your Gold ADC plan.
I am kind of leaning towards HW 5800Mini Door/Window (battery life?), 5853 GlassBreak. I may go with one of HW or 2GIG recessed sensors as well. Also was looking into 2GIG-FF-345, 2GIG-FT1-345.

I am looking for a best combination of reliability, range, looks (size) and battery life. What door/window sensor do you recommend in both standard and recessed format?

I was also considering 2GIG door bell and panic button as well as Honeywell keyfobs (5834)

At this time were not considering motion sensors since we have a large size dog (>75lbs).

Also, what are the options for the secondary panels? 2GIG-SP1 is nice but I do not want to spend this much right now, their other wireless keypad doesn’t have any display and does not provide any feedback.

Thanks!

Battery life for all 345 Mhz sensors is roughly the same for sensors of the same type, and it will depend more greatly on usage.

I do not have thoughts on the Honeywell 5800Mini, although I do like the look. I prefer not to have the LED indicator, however.

I am partial to the DW40 for its shape and size and low profile. (Also it has a local bypass button to temporarily bypass when leaving.)

The 2GIG DW20R is what I would use for a recessed contact.

what are the options for the secondary panels?

The GC3 has two touchscreen secondary keypads. The upcoming SP1 is a full-function secondary panel in the same housing as the GC3. The SP2 is a simpler arm/disarm station with feedback and status.
