Sensor Monitoring and Sensor Notification

Hello,

Is it possible to add additional monitored sensors to my account? I currently have 12 sensors and I will be adding 2 more. This would be a total of 14 monitored sensors.

Also, is it possible to have a thin window contact generate a notification only and not trigger an alarm?

Thanks

There is a distinct difference between Sensor Security Monitoring and Sensor Activity Monitoring. Here is a helpful article on the two.

Should you require additional blocks of sensors to be enrolled in Sensor Activity Monitoring, you can reference the add-on guide here. Once you have determined how many you need, simply contact customerservice@suretyDIY.com with the amount of blocks you wish to add as well as your Verbal Admin Pass Code. *Reminder, never post personal information to the forum.

Yes this is possible. When programming your sensor, for question 1 Sensor Type, enter number 23: No Response Type. This will not cause a tripped sensor to set off an alarm.

I have my contact set up as type 23. However, it shows up as Window/Door - Chime only which I am not able to trigger a notification from. I can see that the panel recognizes when the magnet is moved away from the sensor when I a perform a walk test in the system configuration.

Any ideas?

You in fact can.

Click “New Notification” and select “Sensor Activity”

You can select the sensor from the list when creating the notification as long as that sensor is chosen for activity monitoring.

Note that there will be a few minute delay when selecting new sensor activity monitoring sensors for all notification types to update the options accordingly.

I have it working now. I had set the sensor type to motion by accident and it was not reporting a contact event. I switched it to contact type and gave the system a few minutes to update and now everything is working as expected including the desired notification.

Thanks!
