Hi, I recently replaced the batteries on two of my sensors, and yet the alarm app is still showing them as having low battery. I made sure they were brand new CR2032 batteries and tested them, and they tested as good. I’ve given it a couple days and the status has not updated. Anything else I can try?
Looking at the account I see two devices reporting low battery, but only one is a sensor.
The one labeled Front Door showing a low battery is a Z-wave door lock. To verify, did you change batteries in a door sensor or the lock?
For the other device showing low battery, it is a sensor in zone 3. When replacing sensor batteries, many models of sensors need to be powered off for 60+ seconds to successfully resolve the low battery condition. Try opening that sensor, remove the batteries. Wait for two full minutes, then reinsert the batteries minding polarity. Does this resolve the status?
Hi thanks for the reply! Removing the batteries and waiting a couple minutes seemed to do the trick - although I don’t think it was the door lock that had the low battery because after replacing those I still had a low battery notification, and removing the sensor batteries and replacing them after a couple minutes did resolve it. Regardless, back in action. Thanks!
