Secondary panel in garage

Is there a reason we would not mount a secondary iQ panel in our garage instead of on the other side of the wall in kitchen?

Mild temps as we are in. S cal. We enter and exit 99.9% of time through garage to kitchen. Currently secondary panel is in kitchen by kitchen door to garage.

We could eliminate the entry delay and disarm the panel before openeing the door. Every now and then we mess up and false alarm.

Is this a high security risk or is there another reason we should not do this?

If the temps are mild, then a secondary keypad in the garage would work.

The operating temperature for the IQ Remote PowerG is 32F to 104F and up to 93% relative humidity.

The IQ Keypad has an operating temperature of 14F to 131F Up to 93% relative humidity.

I’d advise against putting the main panel in an unsecured location, but a secondary panel shouldn’t be an issue.
