I have a silly question - Is there a way to buy replacement tamper “boot” (the rubber button / plunger) for a PG sensor?
The PowerG sensors like the 9945 have that rubber plunger that attaches to the tamper switch, and pushes the button down when the cover is installed. I had one pop off. I lost it in the crawlspace and can’t find it. I’d hate to have to trash the whole sensor just because that little rubber guy went flying.
Specifically I need it for a 9945. I have a 9309 and found its rubber boot was a different size/type!
Let me know if they are sold as replacement parts, and if so where I might find them. I asked my friend ChatGPT and he said they aren’t sold as replacement parts… but I thought I’d ask a human.
And if any one has a broken 9945 and wants to mail me the tamper boot, I’m happy to Venmo you a coffee or something!
