Renting - factory reset won’t work

Hey all,

We recently moved into a house that we are renting that comes with a SkyBell doorbell/camera. We tried to set up our account, but when we went to connect the doorbell, since it was still connected to our landlords account, we couldn’t complete the set up. We tried to factory reset but kept coming up with the same issue that it wouldn’t complete installation. Has anyone run into this issue before?

You cannot add to your account until they remove from theirs.

Yep, factory resetting the camera does not clear it from Alarm.com, if it is still registered to an Alarm.com account either that account needs to be cancelled or the camera must be deleted from it by the owner.
