Remote siren

Have Qolsys system with 2 outdoor sirens at 30 watt each on house, using seperate aux power supply. Have a detached shop that sits about 185’ from house. Shop has 2 motion sensors 1 door sensor and smoke detector. Also have ge repeater @ house. Would like to run outside siren on shop just like the house. What would be the best way to do this. Thank You.

I’m having trouble thinking of a good way to achieve this without additional relays and power supply.

Qolsys does not have a programmable output on its terminal block like 2GIG, so the option would be to use the existing sounder output, but over 185 feet that would not directly work.

Just to get a clearer idea, do you already have a siren on the shop location and cabling run to the home?

There is currently no siren on shop. Currently no cable run to house. Would like to run aux power in shop to run 30 watt siren. Currently have repeater at house, and aux power to run 2 30 watt sirens on house. Is it possible to trigger siren on shop using repeater.Thank You

Is it possible to trigger siren on shop using repeater.

Not that I am aware. Sensor repeaters transmit to the panel from sensors. The panel does not output a 319.5 signal.

What model of sirens are you using?

Would like to use 1 Potters Electric ssx 52sc. Thank You

Hmm. I’m not finding anything inexpensive anyway. Most of the wireless contact closure transmitter/receivers I am seeing are geared toward industrial use, and have a comparable price tag, but something like this might give you options other than running 185 feet of cabling.

If you are good with soldering, a cheaper solution may be something like this as the receiver, and wire a transmitter to be “pressed” when panel alarm activates.
