Recessed door sensory - how to replace battery?

Hi there,
I’m getting low battery notifications on all of our doors sensors. We have recessed sensors installed, I am not sure how to remove them from the door to replace the battery since there is no slot for a tool or coin to remove them.

I’ve attached a picture of our panel, as well as of our door sensors. Could someone please let me know how to remove them and replace the batteries? Thank you so much.

Those look smaller than a 2GIG wireless recessed sensor. They look like they are probably wired recessed sensors.

Looking at your account it looks like your first 8 zones are all reporting low battery.

This means those are likely all wired sensors connected to a 2GIG TAKE-345, the wired to wireless takeover module. The low battery is the large 12VDC backup battery used for the Takeover module, it is not a battery internal to the sensors.

Thanks Jason - this battery doesn’t go inside the control panel, correct?
I’m not sure that we have a 2GIG TAKE-345 takeover panel. The original system was pre-installed in our home.
Would the battery go inside the grey control panel we have in a different part of our home?

Yes, likely. Often the old hardwired panel can is still used as a power source and battery charging circuit for the TAKE backup battery.

The Takeover module looks like this:

Hi Jason, thank you.
We replaced the battery with the recommended one - and are still getting low battery notifications. They come on, and then go off again randomly. Is there something else we need to do now? Or a way to turn off the notifications?

Can you confirm the power supply the TAKE345 is using? What is wired into the 12V + and G terminals?

It is possible the power supply is underpowering the TAKE if the battery levels are fluctuating frequently. I see another low battery trouble that occurred overnight.

It is also possible the power supply is connected to a switched outlet which is getting turned off and on. This may cause this pattern of trouble conditions.

Replaced it with this battery one year ago, having the low battery sensor again. That should have lasted more than one year, correct? Do I already have to purchase and replace a new battery?

Actually, I think it’s the panel on our 2GIG TAKE-345 that is low. What little green battery pack do I need to order to replace it? Thank you!

The low battery currently showing on your account is for the 2GIG GC2 Panel. A backup battery pack is found below.

Thank you, you’re so helpful. Have a great day!
