Questions about Geo-fencing and Notifications

I have a question about geo-fencing or setting up enabling or disabling alerts on my iPhone.
The enabling & locking the door away from home or alarming the system away from home doesn’t work all the time.

Thank you kindly

I have a question about geo-fencing or setting up enabling or disabling alerts on my iPhone.

Geo-Fences can be used to allow Alarm.com to perform actions based on your location such as alerting you if you leave your home unsecured, automate lights when you cross a particular geofence etc.

To begin, Geo-Services must be turned on via the Alarm.com mobile app (Menu-Geo-Service-Toggle on) Once Geo-Services has been turned on, Geo-Fences can be created. Geo-fences are created on a map within the Alarm.com website and when you cross your geo-fence with your smartphone, the Alarm.com platform responds based services desired. This video here will show you how to set up fences via the Alarm.com website.

Notifications based on various system functions can be created through Alarm.com as well and sent to your phone via sms, text or email. You can view existing notifications via the Notifications tab on the Alarm.com website. A variety of how to videos regarding Alarm.com functions such as notifications and geo fences can be found here.

It would appear that the Z-Wave lock is the only Z-Wave Device currently in use correct? How far away from the panel is the device?

Keep in mind, as Z-Wave acts like a mesh network, the more z-wave devices in use, the better the network communication. For more information on Z-Wave, please see this post here.

Regarding delay in remotely arming/disarming your system, I am noticing some low signalling as well. Is this issue something you have been experiencing recently or for a longer period of time?

You will want to ensure that the panel is properly mounted in the best possible location to achieve optimum signaling. Some things to look at:

-Installation point, main or higher floor, close to an outer wall (to achieve optimum signaling)
-Ensure that the panel is not located near any metal, which can diminish the signal.
