Under “Users” in the dashboard, both my wife and I want to use the same 4 digit user code. However, when I try changing hers to match mine it won’t work. Says code invalid and equivalent to existing code. Is there a way to do this? We want to avoid confusion and both use the same 4 digit code as we were doing with our previous provider. Please help. Thanks.
The same code cannot be assigned to two different code slots on the panel. Each user in Alarm.com links to a code slot if you create a panel code for them.
You can always just share one code, but the code can only be assigned to one user in the panel and Alarm.com. You would just both use that same code and it will always show as the same single user disarmed the system.
