Qualsys IQ 4 Panel unresponsive to touch

I have an Qualsys IQ Panel 4. The panel shows the screensaver image, but the touchpad is totally unresponsive to any touch. Whenever I open a door, the voice command is at full volume. I did a 30-45 second power off restart a few times, and still the have the same issue, touchpad is unresponsive to any touch. Nothing at all happens when you touch the pad. An alarm, if triggered, cant be disarmed through the pad, only mobile app.

Can you assist with helping to troubleshoot this or assist with a full factory reset if you think that will help.

To troubleshoot, perform a power cycle but leave the panel off for at least 10 minutes. To do so:

  • Disarm the system (remotely if necessary)
  • Unplug the power supply from the wall outlet
  • Open the panel and disconnect the internal battery.
  • Leave the panel powered down for at least 10 minutes.
  • Check the power cabling between the panel and power supply to ensure it is connected correctly.
  • Plug the battery back in, close up the panel and reconnect the power supply
  • Press the button on the side of the panel for about 3-5 seconds to turn it back on.

Once the panel has rebooted, check for resolution. Any change?

Additionally, if using an in wall, pre-existing cable run, it must meet the specifications outlined on page 12 of the installation manual:

  • 7vDC Transformer: Use 18AWG wire no longer than 98.5ft to ensure sufficient power is received at the panel. The minimum permissible wire size shall not be smaller than 22 AWG

When working on your system you can place your monitoring account on Test Mode to avoid any false dispatch on alarms. This can be done whenever you work on your system. You can place your monitoring account on test mode via the System Manager tab located in your Surety login. My Account - Surety
