Does anyone know if the RE100 wireless remote key fob is the same as the QOLSYS QS-1310-P01 IQ KEY FOB? They look identical, but I just wanted to double check before I make a purchase.
Thanks,
Ed

It’s clearly the same product. Resolution Products makes a lot of the Qolsys sensors. I’m not sure it would be 100% compatible with Qolsys, although it probably is. We’ll have to check with Resolution Products on Monday to be sure.
I remember the RE200 not being fully compatible with 2GIG because there was a slight difference in how the Honeywell and 2GIG keyfobs sent one of the commands. That may have been resolved by now. That’s why some of the RE2XX products have an alternative model with a T at the end, like RE252T, because they’re slightly modified to be compatible with 2GIG instead of Honeywell.
Thanks in advance for your help.
The RE100 is identical in function and will allow arming/disarming and panic programming. Additional keyfob functionality for lights is being worked on for later this year.
Has anyone enrolled a Qolsys key fob to arm the system “away”? Mine arms the system in “stay” mode and I see no option under “edit sensors” to change this. Thanks in advance!
Check under Settings - Installer Code - Installation - Security and Arming. Scroll down and verify whether you have “Auto Stay” enabled. Auto Stay will revert to stay arming if no exit delay door is opened during the countdown.
This was a great thought but in my case “auto stay” is not checked. Both my key fobs initially on first press arm the panel into stay mode. Interesting that it runs a countdown timer even though I have “arm stay - no delay” enabled!!! When I press the lock button a second time during the timer the system arms immediately into away mode. If this is normal I don’t like this key fob behavior. Are there any settings anywhere to change it to arm immediately into away mode? Finally how do you enable and program the light key and star/snowflake key on the key fob? Thanks!
Keyfob Instant Arming is a programming option in the same menu section as Arm Stay - No Delay. This will remove countdown timers.
The keyfob is programmed so that one press of the arm button selects stay and that a double press selects away. (Shown in RP OEM manual)
PINpad and Keyfob for Qolsys IQ Panel. I’m looking for multiple keyfobs and a PINpad to use with Qolsys IQ panel. I noticed that Resolution Products makes a PINpad RE152 and a keyfob RE100 but was unable to find them in your store. Are these available from you? Do you recommend an alternative, or is this the recommended solution?
Both the Qolsys and the Resolution products you mentioned are compatible. Check out this compatibility guide from Qolsys for more info
suretyDIY does not stock and sell all devices which may be compatible with Alarm.com systems but that does not mean the product isn’t compatible or worth using.
I have two RE100’s I’m trying to use with the Qolsys IQ Panel 2, but it doesn’t seem to recognize them at all. I’ve followed the steps to manually add them as keyfob sensors, adding the DL ID, but no response from the devices and under device status on the Panel it says they’re offline. Suggestions?
It’s recommended to never manually type in sensor IDs. It is best to always use the Auto-Learn Sensor mode on the panel to learn in sensors.
Delete the existing keyfobs then try going to Settings - Advanced Settings - Installation - Devices - Security Sensors - Auto Learn Sensor. Then press both the arm/disarm buttons simultaneously.
That worked, thank you! One other quick question… if I’m currently not using central station monitoring, will the emergency buttons on the panel and keyfob still work? Police, fire, etc… ?
Thanks again.
The buttons are not disabled, but no signals would be forwarded to operators if you do not have central station monitoring. You could still use them to get Alarm.com notifications to any of your users though.
This would be an option under the Alarm notification. An alarm notification for all alarm types will be pre-created and you can select additional recipients for it, or you can create a separate alarm notification, choose only panel panic alarms as the trigger, and select your recipients.
