How to Install the QS1134-840
Physical installation of the Qolsys QS1134-840 recessed sensor should follow the manufacturer’s instructions found in the product installation manual. Installation steps from the QS1134-840 manual are below:

Mounting the QS1134-840
- Choose the installation location. This can be on the top of the door, or on the side of the door. Either in the frame or the door, depending on the material in use.
- When drilling a hole for the sensor, 2.5" deep using a 3/4" Bit. The sensor is designed to fit snuggly in a 3/4" hole, so take care when drilling.
- Install the sensor into the hole.
- Drill a hole for the magnet. .75" deep using a 3/4" drill bit. Ensure the magnet and door sensor holes are properly aligned.
- Install the magnet into the hole.
Programming the QS1134-840 with the Qolsys IQ Panel
- Place the IQ Panel into Auto-Learn Mode. To do so, at the panel navigate to:
- Settings
- Advanced Settings
- Enter your Installer or Dealer Code
- Installation
- Devices
- Security Sensor
- Auto Learn Sensor

With the panel in Auto-Learn Mode, open and close the door to trip the sensor.

Program the sensor as needed. Then Click Add to finalize programming.
