Greetings! Our otherwise seemingly healthy IQ Panel 2 started making an audible random static or crackle this morning for the first time. I’ve tried rebooting, powering down and upgrading the firmware to latest. Cracking persisted throughout all of the above. Is this the beginning of a hardware failure or perhaps a bad battery? Thank you!
How long did you power the panel down?
Without hearing the noise I would presume this is likely electrical buzzing, I would recommend powering down from the menu: Settings > Advanced Settings > Power Down. Then unplug the transformer, open the panel and unplug the battery.
Leave it powered off and unplugged for 20 minutes. Then plug in the battery, close it up and plug in the transformer, then boot it up.
