Qolsys iq panel 2 - compatible ceiling fan control?

Is there a compatible ceiling fan control for the Qolsys iq panel 2? I found the Enbrighten Z-Wave Plus Fan Control on Amazon but I’m not seeing anywhere that it’s compatible with Qolsys iq panel 2. If not this fan control, is there another?

Use cases I’d like to solve for:
1.) Turn off fans if fire alarm
2.) Turn off fans at 9 AM (example - as my kids forget to turn them off)

Sometimes the Z-Wave switch may still be compatible even though it is not on the compatibility list.

One Z-Wave light switch that is compatible with ceiling fans is the Linear WS15-Z as the instructions mention it can handle a ceiling fan motor up to 1/2 HP at 120VAC.

Do you know how big the motors are on the ceiling fan? It should state it on sticker somewhere on the fan.

Hmm I don’t see a horse power rating but “41 watts”. I assume it would be fine. The challenge is that I don’t see that this switch could control the speed - just on/off.

For control of the air fan, I don’t see a device under the compatibility list however just because it isn’t on the list doesn’t mean it isn’t compatible.

Here are a few more devices that are compatible but not on the compatibility list. I wasn’t able to find one with fan level control.

Here’s a link to how I’ve automated the ceiling fans in my home. This requires a little fan re-wiring so proceed at your own risk, of course. It does not allow for speed control of the fans, but certainly allows for light and fan control, and for your use case of turning them off on certain circumstances should work fine.

It uses a Zooz ZEN52 Double Relay installed in the fan canopy or light kit, and uses 1 relay to control the light and the second relay to control power to the fan. As a bonus I wired the existing light pullchain to the relay switch input, so not only can you use the pullchain to turn the light on/off locally, but you could also use the pull chain to trigger inclusion/exclusion mode on the relay without having to pull the fan apart later!

You’d need to verify your fan doesn’t exceed the power limits of the relay as well of course.

Lastly, I’ve done this on the IQ 4 only. However the ZEN52 does appear to join fine to the IQ 2 I have here on the test bench. I believe it should work.

Hope this helps or sparks some ideas (pun not intended).
The thread is a little messy as I had some challenges along the way but it works!
