I have a Qolsys 4 system with an IQ remote. All of a sudden I get these brief tamper alerts on the Interlogix - SLX-AD-T3 FireFighter - Wireless Fire Alarm Monitoring Relay. It is brief but annoying because the IQ remote panel is dark at night but lights up when tamper occurs.
Have you tried any troubleshooting steps yet? It looks like that device is reporting an offline malfunction as well.
The first thing would be to remove and replace the cover of that sensor. Does that help resolve the tamper?
If not, how old is the sensor? I would recommend replacing the sensor’s battery, does it start signaling and resolve that issue?
A while back (a couple months), I got a low battery warning. I replaced this battery. This morning I pulled the battery so it doesn’t wake us in the middle of the night. I haven’t done any troubleshooting.
2017 manufacture date. Installed 2018
Ok, that explains the offline malfunction. This suggests the cover is probably loose and causing a periodic tamper. (or the tamper switch is damaged)
Make sure the cover is applied securely, if the clasp is worn or damaged, you might try a little tape to keep it shut as a test. Does that stop the repeated tamper?
I removed the cover this morning. It was secure.
It is possible the physical tamper switch is bent or damaged causing it to not latch shut properly. Physical inspection of the switch would be recommended. See it in the manual here in Image 1
Also, just to be 100%, when closing the device, check for any wiggling of any kind to the cover after closing it.
