PowerG Siren battery

My PowerG siren battery indicates low power status. A little disappointing since the system is only 3 years old and the battery should last 7-8 years.

What replacement battery do I need to buy and install?

We do not sell those but there are a few different PowerG Sirens offered by DSC.

Looks like this is for an outdoor siren, is that correct? Do you have the PG9911B or do you have the PG9911B-BATT? There was a running change at some point and they use different batteries it looks like.

The part number should be listed on the unit.

I have the PG9911B-BATT.

Thank you for that information.

Looks like the part number for battery that siren uses is: BATT-PGX901/X911.

While we do not carry them, it looks like they can be found from a few vendors online.

Might want to consider a power G or zwave switched out let and a powered siren so you don’t have to deal with batteries and a lot louder Nippon America High Decibel High Power Outdoor Alarm Security Siren (TC-S7545-110), Long Range, 80 Watts, 120 Decibels, Remotely Activate with Wi-Fi Socket (Sold Separately) Amazon.com

Thanks all. Strangely, the low battery warning has reverted. I don’t know if this is due to the battery completly dying or what.

It would be a nice feature to have the battery status of all the devices in the website (alarm.com).

We’re glad to hear the battery warning has gone away.

PowerG+ devices will be able to report the exact battery levels. At this time, I’m not sure if or where that will be visible in Alarm.com if they enable showing it on the customer side.
