So I was wondering if I can install a powerG card from a iq2+ panel for a iq4 panel. It it possible to do it?
Your IQ Panel 4 already supports PowerG and reports an active PowerG radio. You can just pair PowerG sensors to the panel at any time.
The standard IQ Panel 4 comes with a PowerG radio built in and a legacy radio card for either 319.5Mhz, 345Mhz, or 433Mhz sensors.
The IQ Panel 5 comes with a PowerG radio built in and a legacy card is optional.
Well I had bought a alarm panel from AlarmGrid and it didn’t come with one.
You’re right, there were SKUs of the IQ Panel 4 with alternate setups. I recall at least one SKU of the IQ Panel 4 which didn’t contain the PowerG radio, the IQP4088. That was used primarily with Brinks I believe. It might have been available through other dealers.
In this case I can confirm that your IQ Panel 4 connected to your current Surety account already has a PowerG radio.
Yes, I had installed a PG card from a iq2+ panel,
