Is there a way to create a rule (on QolSys system) based on power being restored after an outage? I want to turn off Z-Wave lights when power restores after an outage because the outage causes the Z-Wave lights to come on and then they stay on after power outage.
At this time, it is not possible to create a rule based on when power is restored to the panel.
You may be able to get a relay that opens and closes based on whether it’s receiving power, connect the normally closed terminal to a sensor, and create a rule based on that sensor’s status.
The PG9945 has an auxiliary terminal that you can wire a relay into, and it is compatible with your system.
Since power outages hopefully are not too common, it could help to create a scene in Alarm.com that turns off all the lights. Then when you get the power restored notification you could run the scene to turn them all off at once. It’s not automatic but less work than turning them all off individually.
