PG9945 Aux as Motion Sensor

Can the PG9945 Aux be set up as a motion sensor through Aux connections? Considering using an Optex AP-360BR(C) ceiling sensor with NO connection to connect to the PG9945 but would like it to show up as a motion in the IQ Panel 4 instead of a door/window.

I know there’s PowerG ceiling motion sensors the Mrs. does not find them aesthetically pleasing.

I don’t see why not. I’ve never tried it before but if it has an NC output, why not?

But would I be able to set it up to show as a motion sensor instead of a door/window contact?

I’m not sure if the panel would restrict the sensor type for the PG9945. One would hope not.

Even if it did, would door/window sensor group 16 work for that? An interior door is treated like a motion detector.

Yea, a door would function as it should it’s just my OCD wanting it to show the correct icon. I saw a thread saying you can set it as a smoke detector but couldn’t find anything on being able to do motion.

Yes, unlike most other PowerG sensors which limit the sensor type you can select, the PG9945 allows you to select the appropriate sensor type for your wired input as needed. You select the sensor type when programming the sensor.
