How to open the smoke detector if the breakaway tab is removed?

Hello,
If the breakaway tab is broken, it looks like you need to insert something long enough to press down on the inside lock and turn it at the same time.
Below is an image of the smoke showing where to insert a long precision screwdriver to open the smoke
