I purchased 4 PG9303 sensors and only 1 appears to work properly. By properly, I mean when the magnet is brought close to the device, it detects the magnet and blinks green to indicate that signal strength is excellent. The other 3 have different behavior. When i bring the magnet close to the device, I get a single red blink and nothing else. When I move the magnet away from the device, the red light again blinks once.
Does it say “not networked” on the panel for those sensors? If so, after you enroll them in the panel you have to “tamper” them to complete the 2-way enrollment. To tamper them just open the sensor case as if you were changing the battery and then close it again.
Thanks Frankk. The palel is not even seeing the sensor. The one that did work auto-enrolled seamlessly.
Have you only tried the auto-learn steps? If you instead use the Add Sensor option and manually type in the sensor ID, does the sensor work?
If you add one and still have trouble with it, let me know the name of the sensor in reply as it appears in Alarm.com and I can double check programming.
Frank, your tamper suggestion did the trick. thank you very much. I opened the unit while the alarm was in auto-add and it detected the sensor. Now the device shows the green light which means good signal strength.
