Panel Rebooting Daily

Hey DIY-ers!

I don’t typically look at my panel as I pretty much just use the app or secondary keypads…but yesterday I noticed there were 27 notifications and they were all stating that the panel rebooted. It also appears that the panel reboots around the exact same time every day. Today I watched around the time it’s been reporting the reboot and it surely did fully reboot. This is concerning considering that the system is typically armed at this time and I wouldn’t expect the system to power cycle unnecessarily while armed. Has anyone else experienced this or have any input?

Currently running firmware version 4.5.2.

Thanks in advance!

If you enter Settings > Advanced Settings > installer code > System Tests, run the Daughter Card Tests and then run everything under Panel Tests. Do you notice any failures?

Jason, thanks for your reply. All daughter card tests passed.

I ran a panel test, everything came back okay except for the Camera- which has been failing since the most recent firmware update. Rebooting fixes it for 5 minutes and then will fail again.

Can you perform a power input test as well. This can be done by swiping down from the main screen > Settings > Advanced Settings > Installer Code > System Test > Input Voltage Test

Qolsys is looking into the issue hopefully I hear back from them soon.

They did recommend performing a master reset which would erase everything on the panel and we could uploading the current backup on your account. This would upload the sensors and user codes back into the panel.

PowerG sensors will need to be tampered in order for the panel to recognize the sensor.

This test also passed without issue. I am not opposed to resetting it to troubleshoot.

Okay so we can use the March 15 2025 backup to restore the panel after.

To master reset the panel, Swipe down from the main screen > Settings > Advanced Settings > Dealer Code(Default 2222) (master or installer code wont work to master reset the panel) > Installation > Dealer Settings > Scroll all the way down to Master Reset and agree

Do not program any zones or settings when master reset is complete as this will cause issues with the backup.

Let us know when this has been complete so we could send the restore command

Hello, I factory reset the panel this morning and it is up and running again

We’ve started the restore process. Please allow about 20-30 minutes for all of the commands to complete. Do not enter panel programming during this time and be sure the panel remains powered.
