My wife and I travel. How do I keep from my panel alarm from going off or and just notify me on my cell phone if I have a flood or heat sensor trip. There is no one home to silence the alarm. We were gone for a week and the flood sensor tripped and alarm was going off when we got back, probably on for several days.
By programming the sensor zone type as (23) No Response Type on 2GIG, you will have a sensor that does not generate alarms. You can select it then for activity monitoring and just generate alerts to your phone if it trips. This will never result in siren activation.
Keep in mind the siren does have a default 4 minute time-out. So any time an alarm is registered at the panel, the siren will stop after four minutes, until another zone activates during the alarm state and the siren will kick in again.
