Not Getting Person Detection on Doorbell Camera

Edit: Changed title after realizing it’s not that I’m not getting a push, but that the camera is not identifying the motion as a person (or package).

Trying to figure out where else I can troubleshoot this one. For some reason, some time over the last several days, I no longer get push notifications when the doorbell camera detects a person or package delivery. I’m not sure of the specific date it stopped, but it was working fine prior.

I checked the recording rule and the push notifications are still checked for both phones. I even unchecked and rechecked just to try it. Verified the app still has notification permissions. I need to test to see if the doorbell button push notification is still going or not, but beyond that I’m not sure where else to check.

Tested the doorbell push and got the notification instantly. Then when checking online to see if the clip recorded, I think I may see the problem. It seems ADC’s AI detection may be having issues. When I pulled up saved clips, I saw a message about “Other” recordings appearing and needing to be added to the filter.

The camera is detecting motion and recording the clip, but it’s not identifying as “person”, which means the Person Detection notification of the rule isn’t firing.

Anybody else seeing cases where a person isn’t being identified as such?

The latest firmware update appears to be in March of 2023, so it looks like this would be internal to the cam rather than introduced by software.

If this is a new consistent problem I would first recommend deleting that camera, waiting an hour, then relearn the camera. Does a new rule on the doorbell after relearning it correctly identify objects most of the time after?
