I’m looking at a Qolsys system, but I do not have pets. Are there motion detectors that do not have pet immunity so that they have better range lets say if intruder crawls on all fours?
The effective range and covered area of a motion detector can be altered by angling the detector or mounting a little lower. Keep in mind the lower the angle, the less range you will effectively have. Without mounting at the manufacturer’s recommended location, you also run the higher risk of false alarms from other sources.
I do not know of a non-pet-immune wireless motion for the IQ panel, though you might try looking into wired detectors. You could wire them to a wireless sensor with an input terminal like the RE101.
My problem is that I keep getting pets that are almost as big as people (ex my 110 lb rottweiler)
