I have an IQ panel 4 but no master code. I followed the instructions on resetting the panel but it still asks for the code. What or how do I correct this?
Hi, I have sent a couple commands to try and kick start communication. Can you please reboot the panel again by pressing and holding the side power button for a full 30 seconds?
Let me know when complete and I can check on my end for signals. Do the codes 1111 or 2222 allow you to access settings? Those are default values of the installer and dealer codes. They likely have been changed, but worth a try.
Once connected you would be able to manage your codes in Alarm.com and the Surety website. Advanced settings will always require a code. The reboot process usually helps kick start communication when a code is not available, though there are times that may not work, possibly due to old panel firmware.
If you just moved into the home and that panel was used by the prior owner, your realtor can often facilitate communication with the old owner to request the user code for the panel.
I did just move into the home. I contacted Guardian and they refused to give the master code. I have reached out the the real estate agent to contact the seller but have not heard back as of yet. I have rebooted the panel. The codes you provided did not work. Please advise
Got the code from the pre ious owner
Got the code from the pre ious owner
That’s great news! I can confirm that your panel has started communicating with Alarm.com and you should be able to login to Alarm.com at this time.
Are you having any other trouble getting started or are you all set? Let me know if you have any other questions!
You can reset the installer and dealer codes now remotely through our system manager here.
