I just installed my alarm today and I have my alarm.com account setup. It asks me to confirm my email, but I never get any email from alarm.com to confirm my email. I have selected the link to resend the confirmation many times, and I have tripple checked the email. To this point I haven’t gotten any notifications from alarm.com (I’ve checked spam as well).
Okay… Changed it to a yahoo address and it worked… But that’s not the account I want to use. Changrd it to a couple different Gmail accounts and no confirmation or notification emails. Is there a problem with gmail and this?
Are you receiving other standard notifications to that email account? The one using gmail? It looks like arming notifications would have occurred today.
Hi, I worked through this over the weekend and this is completely a user error :). I use an alias gmail account for most of my services (which sends everything to my primary google account, and I can send email as this alias from my primary google account). I thought this alias google account sent all mail to my primary google account, but it turns out the alias mail account has its own spam filter instead of using the one on my primary gmail account. I had to go log into the alias email and set a filter to make sure the suretydiy alarm.com emails were not marked as spam in the alias, and then I started seeing them. So totally my error on this one, although I don’t know why if you set an gmail account as an alias it would use spam filter when there already is one on the account using the alias. Live and learn
