I got a new IQ remote (non-powerg) and immediately after paring it started running a patch update ending in a reboot. After restarting it connected to the panel and ran another. I ended up shutting it off after the 5th/6th loop. Is this normal? Anything I can do to fix this?
The IQ Remote will likely try to update after associating it with the main IQ Panel. 5 or 6 iterations of this is not typical.
What model of IQ Remote is it, and what firmware is it reporting?
- QW9104-840, 9103-840 etc.
Was this new box, or used?
I believe new (hard to know for sure) QW9104-840. I’m not actually sure how to get that firmware because it just jumps to “Downloading Path” every time it boots.
I think this must have been some protection against updating with low battery. Trying again just now it worked successfully.
Glad to hear it. The IQ Remote can take up to 24 hours to fully charge. The part number can be found on a sticker, located on the back of the unit.
