new MyQ Home Bridge

We have a new MyQ Home Bridge (MYQ-G0303-SP) and are attempting to integrate it with ADC via Settings/Devices/Automation Devices/"+LiftMaster Installation"

This piece is the WiFi AND HomeLink-enabled replacement for the MyQ Internet Gateway.
Super simple to setup and worked immediately with 2 garage doors through the LiftMaster app.

However, when trying to add it to Alarm.com, keep receiving the message “There was an error while registering your LiftMaster MyQ Gateway. Please ensure that you have entered the correct serial number and then contact us for assistance.”

The serial number on the box does not include the prefix GW and in the Chamberlain app it is displayed with the prefix GW – neither worked.

As this model is still pretty new, but I understood it is compatible with Alarm.com.

Perhaps the interface is back-end through the MyQ online service rather than the device itself. hopefully some Dealer portal stuff or ADC can get it going. I am sending the serial #in a secure message.

Any thoughts on how to connect this device or contact Alarm.com

Happy to help!

Is the device currently registered with Liftmaster? You cannot register the Gateway through both Liftmaster and Alarm.com. When setting up through Alarm.com, a new Liftmaster registration is created as part of the process and the control is then through Alarm.com.

You will want to unregister the gateway from Liftmaster wait about 10 minutes then try again with Alarm.com. Any Change?

We are told the model is not yet supported, so the serial does not look like it will work at this time. There are a couple new models of Chamberlain devices which are not yet available through Alarm.com. I’ve no reason to think compatibility wouldn’t be coming soon, as prior new release devices were enabled after a short while.

In the meantime you’ll need to just use the device through the Liftmaster app until we can secure an ETA for ADC support.

I tried the brand new unit on ADC last night and got "There was an error while registering your LiftMaster MyQ Gateway. Please ensure that you have entered the correct serial number and then contact us for assistance.”

I tried “tested” with Chamberlain App. Worked great. Just not via ADC…

Deleted the doors and hub from myChamberlain account.
Tried with ADC again! Same error as above.

I re-registered with Chamberlain (LiftMaster).
I just re-deleted doors and hub now. Nothin’ registered with mychamberlain.com now.

How do I get hub hooked to my WiFi w/o the Chamberlain app anyway?
Kind of opaque process on ADC unless it tell me what to do as I step through…but I cannot get that far yet…

Keep in mind this is the NEWer HomeKit-enabled hub per above.
(though I will not use that functionality in parallel with ADC if not compatible)…if that helps.

Help! LOL

I re-read you note I’ll try one more time in 10 mins or so.

OK I just read the second note… will keep on Chamberlain App for now. UGH This is a really popular solution they almost gotta add. Huge share of market for Chamberlain/LiftMaster.

We’ll push for some details but at this point I would say it is just a matter of patience. MyQ in general is the compatible service, ADC just needs to be able to support the devices internally and with their own reps. New releases from manufacturers typically require a little time before support is official.

“new(er) model” MyQ Home Bridge (MYQ-G0303-SP)
I integrated this Chamberlain/LiftMaster piece with ADC this weekend. Worked without hitch.

ADC did prompt to “unregister the gateway from Liftmaster” … and I had to get on a ladder to press the “learn” buttons on the openers in garage. And decipher and appropriately label each door icon (i.e. “1-car” “2-car” etc…)

SO it appears supported in ADC app/ecosystem now…

However, relative to Apple HomeKit support (which was key reason for this new unit’s introduction or if HomeKit “plays nice with ADC” here… it seems too with limited testing…)

Thank you for updating and confirming!
