I purchased new equipment, and it was shipped to my Michigan address. I am moving to a new home in PA, and I brought the Surety equipment with me for installation. But, the house is being re-wired. So there is no constant electricity to use. So, I decided to wait for install until after the work is done – which will be another 4 weeks.

My question is: Is it OK to wait for 4-5 weeks to activate my account? And, will I be able to still use the free 1-month monitoring service after I activate the account? When do you start charging me for monitoring?

You can absolutely wait. You will receive account set up reminders periodically but monthly service does not begin until you create the new Alarm.com account. You wouldn’t be charged for ongoing service until after the account has been set up

Account set up is done through the System Manager tab of your Surety login.
