I have purchased from you a new IQ panel 4 and was told I needed to get with you on the IMEI programming for Surety?

I would like to start programming all my devices. I had the IQ panel 2 and it crashed so I would like some direction on how to move forward please?

Are you trying to perform a restoral from your last backup on the IQ Panel 2 to your new IQ Panel 4? Or did you just want to swap the panel only?

A backup/restore can be run to apply RF sensor programming, User Codes, and panel programming to the new panel. This process can be performed during normal business hours. Z-Wave devices will need to be programmed in manually.

The process for the backup restore is as follows:

  • Run a backup (Existing from November 8th 2025)
  • Once the new panel is received and you are ready to start the process:
    • Do not program the new panel
    • Power down the old panel power supply first, then internal battery
    • Private Messsage us with the new panel’s 15-digit IMEI number
  • We will send commands to begin the restoral process and confirm this has been sent.
    • The restoral can take 20-30 mintues. During this time, do not add any devices to the new panel or send any arming disarming commands or make any programming changes to the new panel.
    • You will know the process is nearing completion once the last of the sensors populates at the panel. Wait an additional 5 minutes or so for User codes to populate, if applicable.

My old IQ 2 panel is completely dead, it won’t even turn on so I will have to start over programming each device I presume. I had upgraded to the IQ 4 and need to transfer only my panel and current account.

So far I have mounted the new IQ 4 backplate on the wall, replaced the DC plug with the new one and pinned in the positive a negative wires into the new backplate. I have not plugged the battery in on the new panel since it came unplugged. It’s late in the day so I will not be programming tonight but should I power up the new panel to charge the battery or just leave it alone until the morning?

So basically wired it to back plate but not mounted the new panel or plugged in battery yet.

Yes, can you send us the IMEI of the new panel and I can transfer your service over to your new IQ Panel 4.
