Just installed one of the new IQ keypad-PG’s in the bedroom. When I enrolled it, I turned off chimes. I have noticed (because it is in the bedroom) - if I go to the main panel, for example, and disarm it, the new keypad will start to beep as I am in the process of disarming it ((as I am entering my code) at another keypad. Obviously, that is not something I want if someone is sleeping in the bedroom. Is there any way to disable this?
While Night Time mode settings can be enabled at either panel (Settings > Photo Frame > Settings) there is not a way to disable those countdown beeps. during disarm.
It does appear that Qolsys is looking into resolving this in the upcoming FW 4.6.0 but there is no ETA at this time for its release
This is the new capacitive keypad (they have no settings other than what is set when it is enrolled) - is does not do a countdown beep - it is a constant tone when I turn off an ‘alarm stay’ from another keyboard, for example.
My apologies, I misread that. My comment pertains only to the IQ Remote IQRPG.
I do not have that keypad for testing at this time. Let me do some digging and see what I can find. I suspect the answer is that it is not possible to disable that beeping (It might be governed by Night Time mode at the IQP4, but I have my doubts).
Yeah it looks like thats not possible.
The workaround would be arming/disarming from Alarm.com or a keyfob to get around the countdown.
