New customer trouble getting cell module to communicate.

I have a TL880LTVZ and can’t login yet because it hasn’t communicated with alarm.com and I’m not sure what is wrong. When trying to press 3 nothing happens and *8 851 asks me for a subsection.

I already did 382 opt 5 and 300 alt comm auto.

There are a few options when running a cell test.

When pressing the [3] key are you holding it for two seconds? That can prompt a cell test.

After pressing 851, can you scroll to Communications Test? If so, press the [*] key to run the comm test. Upon completion, the keypad reads Test signal sent OK. Any change

The full process should be:

Press [][8].
Enter the installer code.
Press [851] to enter Interactive Services.
Scroll to Communication Test.
Press [
]. Upon completion, the keypad reads Test signal sent OK.

I can hold for 10 seconds and nothing happens. *8 master code 851 brings me to “enter subsection _ _ _”. Is there another way to check to see if it sees the module?

FYI anyone having trouble with the TL880LTVZ, the TX/RX wires are supposed to be reversed. Issue resolved by reversing cable to the PCL-422.

Thanks for the update! To make sure I understand, you’re saying make sure the TX wires on one device are connected to the RX wires on the other, correct?

Correct. TX+ to RX+ TX- to RX-.
