Need help to setup and monitor system

Hello

Here is picture of what I currently have and I will like to reactivate the system and add active monitoring for insurance discounts and needed help on what to purchase and how to install.

For context, I bought the home with equipment already installed and I installed service with a company called systems5 as that is what the last owner used. I stopped service with them and want to go a different route and need some assistance.

The Networx NX-8e and NX-8V2 are supported, but that looks like it is actually an older NX-8 model which is incompatible with Alarm.com communication modules. The comnmunication device shown in images is an old Alarm Path Echo unit, it is not used for Alarm.com. Surety provides service for Alarm.com compatible panels.

Here is a guide on how to use an Interlogix NX panel, or replace it with a newer panel. I don’t believe the panel in your image would be compatible, however. I would need to see the labeling on the board inside the Networx panel housing to confirm exact model information.

You may be able to use existing wired sensors with a Wired to Wireless translator and an IQ Panel 4, IQ Hub, or you could use the IQ Pro which is a hybrid panel which has onboard wired sensors inputs.

Here are pictures of the interior? Can you recommend what will be the best option for DIYer? I dont mind changing the panel as long as sensors can be used as everything is already hardwired into home and i have 5 keypads and a bunch of sensors

Thanks for the additional photos. Yes that looks like the original NX8 which would not be supported.

Other than the cell communicators, Interlogix equipment has all been discontinued as they have closed up shop on their security business.

I would recommend reusing existing wired sensors with a new Qolsys panel in one of two ways, either an IQ Pro or an IQ Panel 4 with a wired to wireless translator.

The IQ Pro:

  • Use existing wired sensors. Wired inputs on board the panel.
  • Program the panel through an installer app.
  • Could not use existing keypads, but can use wires and use new wired keypads compatible with the IQ Pro.
  • Can add wireless sensors in the future as needed.

The IQ Panel 4 with a wired to wireless translator:

  • Use existing wired sensors. Wired inputs will be converted to wireless signals to the panel.
  • Program the panel on the panel screen.
  • Could not use existing keypads, wiring can typically be reused to power wireless keypads. The panel supports up to 3 IQ Remote PowerG keypads. It supports up to 5 HS2LCDWF9 keypads. The IQ Panel 4 would typically be installed in one of the existing keypad locations.
  • Can add wireless sensors as needed in the future.
