I’m at the point where the app notifies me if my garage door is open/closed but the app isn’t controlling the door itself. The only way I can do that is by pressing the regular button on the wall or using my old controller. It doesn’t say set up isn’t finished. It shows me the button on the screen I need to press to control the door. What else is there I need to do?
I’m not seeing a Surety subscription tied to this user. Do you use Surety as your Alarm.com service provider? If so, be sure to send us a private message with the account owners name and address.
If you do not use Surety as your service provider, please be sure to reach out to your service provider for assistance. You’ll want to talk to a support rep who can see your system and help determine if there are any malfunctions.
In general, you’re not halfway set up. If your garage doors are showing up as buttons in the app they are added successfully.
Lack of remote control would be due to other issues, such as poor wifi at the MyQ gateway or safety lockout. Try opening the door 2-3 times from the wall button, then wait two minutes and try sending another remote command.
