I recently had to replace my garage door opener. The new opener has the MyQ built into the motor unit (up by the ceiling), so I had to remove the old wall button I was using that connected to the gateway.
My question now, is: I see the “old” garage door listed as well as the “new” garage door in my alarm.com app and I want to remove the old one…How do I do this?
The "old " system is called “Garage Overhead Door” and it shows a “malfunction”.
Existing gateways and doors would need to be removed from your account before installing the new ones. I have gone ahead and sent a delete command to take care of it. Please let us know if it does not take effect.
Is my gateway being used for the “new” opener, or is it getting bypassed now?
"Existing gateways and doors would need to be removed from your account before installing the new ones. "
If this is true, then I should be able to find a “delete” button or something similar, but I still don’t see it for the two existing garage doors. If I would have been able to find it, I wouldn’t have needed to ask about it. How is it deleted on the consumer’s end?
At this time the only way to delete a Liftmaster product from showing up on your Alarm.com account is through the dealer. To clarify, I meant that an existing gateway or garage door would not be replaced if a new one is added and they would need to be manually deleted by request.
Is my gateway being used for the “new” opener, or is it getting bypassed now?
This would depend on the model you are using and how you have them connected. from the backend it appears that your 2 garage doors are listing the same gateway code was as the original gateway
