I have a Liftmaster Model 8155 (no W suffix). It has the MyQ label on the cover of the operator and there is a wall control that looks similar to a 882LMW or perhaps that’s exactly what it is. Does the MyQ label on the cover mean that it is compatible with the MyQ system if you add more equipment or should it already be MyQ ready but I don’t know how to set it up. Please let me know what other items I need to purchase to use it with my iPhone and monitor the garage door.

That model would require an 888LM Wall Control and the 828LM Internet Gateway.
Note that suretyDIY is an Alarm.com service provider. It looks like this is not related to a suretyDIY subscription, correct? If you are looking instead to use the overhead through the manufacturer application, you can find more info here.
SuretyDIY’s DIY Monitoring Package page specifically mentions Liftmaster MyQ for the gold package.
I currently have liftmaster MyQ openers and use the MyQ App with an internet gateway to control my garage doors remotely. (This service has no subscription fee, even though it is hosted by liftmaster.)
What would it mean to use alarm.com’s MyQ automation? Can the ADC app replace the MyQ app? Can the garage doors be tied to automation or alarm sensors?

Happy to help! Yes, the ADC app would replace the MyQ app in terms of garage control.
MyQ gateways are able to be synced through your Alarm.com account on accounts using Gold Interactive. To do so, the Gateway must be deleted and unregistered through Liftmaster as a new registration is performed during the sync.
The MyQ devices do not directly communicate with the alarm panel, but through Alarm.com they can be automated to perform actions and notifications. Examples include reminder notifications when the garage is left open or opens at odd times, opening/closing the garage as part of scenes which can control any number of your devices with one button, etc.
