I have two MyQ Gateways that I’ve used to monitor my two garage doors via the A.com app in the past. This was with a different alarm company. I had the gateways released by the previous company. They’ve been attached my new acct with Surety. When logged into the A.com app with desktop view, I go to settings/manage devices/add device/garage door/My Q Smart Garage Hub/next/add device I can see both hubs. When I select one of the Gateways, tap continue, tap non myQ Garage Opener, select Craftsman and tap continue, select red and continue, acknowledge I have the correct sensor and tap continue. That prompts me to tap the button on the MyQ garage sensor to link them, which flashes a yellow LED light on the sensor (it’s supposed to), but the MyQ Gateway doesn’t see it. This happens with both gateways trying to find both sensors. They are directly across the garage from each other and have a direct line of sight… and they have worked in the past. Not sure what to do. What do you recommend?
FYI I’m a dumb @$$. I was trying to pair the wrong sensor to the wrong hub. When I switched them they paired right away. I didn’t do the original installation so I didn’t know they were linked out of the box… or for that matter which sensor came with which hub. I guess I just figured pairing via the instructions was sufficient. My idiocy is someone else’s gain lol.
Well I am glad to hear you got this sorted!
Issues like matching up previously paired devices are actually tough to troubleshoot sometimes because it is natural to focus on functionality problems like battery, signal strength, etc.
