Moving into Little house Rental for a Year?

Dear SS Forum-

I sold my larger home for a crazy FL price, have to get out in 2 weeks. Moving into a 1500 sq ft little guy…while new house is being built. I dont want buy toy security system and leave in the house rental. I want to bring the Qolsys collection to the larger (2800 sq ft) house.

Had some questions for this wonderful community If you don’t mind?

Don’t want to make major marks or screw holes in the rental…

Q1) Wanted to go with Qolsys IQ Panel 2+…I can just use on a counter with power pack correct? do not have to wall mount drill holes??

Q2) Do Qolsys window, door, motion sensors come with gentle 3M type tape? and if not, will that sticky tape hold all 3, so that in 13 months, I can pull off wall and move to final home? …very light damage if any???

Q3) I noticed Qolsys IQ Panel 2+ comes either AT&T or Verizon flavored…My own cell is Verizon, but that makes no difference right?? My cell will never being talking to IQ Panel directly only through alarm.com app?? so it makes no difference which one I select?

Q4) motion sensors…to cover 8 lb dog and 24 lb fat cat (he orders appetizers before his main cat can :grinning:)…worry about false detection…IQ Motion S has me covered?? will that 3M tape hold it?

Q5) When I order through Surety site, panel, sensors, alarm.com plan…etc…Does the package arrive VERIZON sim card activated tied to Surety with alarm.com email sent?
Just pair the panel with my sensors done???

Can be setup on a table or shelf with the included stand. Does not need to be mounted on the wall.

Sensors include mounting tape and screws. Tape would be the least damaging.

Correct, coverage may differ from that of your cell coverage. The carrier of your phone and the carrier of your panel do not need to be the same, they are unrelated.

That sensor should be fine for the smaller dog and the cat, if it is on the more lethargic side. Cats that like to climb can set off motions, depending on the positioning.

The tape will hold the sensor in place, but not the cat :slight_smile:

At this time, purchasing the panel through Surety comes with a complimentary month of the Surety Home plan. The Qolsys panel on our storefront has a module on the Verizon network.

Once you receive the system, you can program sensors into the panel first, then create your new Alarm.com account when ready to begin service. This would be done through your Surety account via the System Manager feature. The website walks you through creating the account and getting connected to service.

what about the panel +2 sensor bundle, are those 2 sensors in the bundle genuine Qolsys or
3rd party ???

The sensors in the Essential Equipment bundle are Qolsys QS1135-840 S-Line door window contacts.
