Can adhesive strips like the 3M command strips be used for the 2gig sensors? Specifically the 2gig thin window door/window contact and the 2gig PIR1 sensor?
I’m renting at the moment and I could probably get away with screwing the panel into the wall, but probably not the sensors into the doors. If I could use 3M command strips, that would be more ideal.
For sensors like the DW10-345 thin door window it’s probably more common than not to use double sided tape rather than screws. Screws are often reserved for really high traffic doors, or sliding doors that more often receive a lot of shock when closed.
Even then you could just use a higher grade tape. An outdoor double-sided 3M tape from the hardware store is what I use.
Motion detectors are a bit of a different story. They need to be adjusted for best performance. If you do not have pets though, popping one in the corner with tape is more feasible.
