I would like to put motorized shades in a couple of rooms in our house and would like them to be integrated with my 2 gig / alarm.com system for scheduling and setting rules. It looks like there may be a couple of options out there, but I want to make sure I go with the one that has the best chance of working properly. Somfy motors with Graber cellular shades is one quote that I received. Any experience with the Somfy motor and if it has the capability to work with 2 Gig?
I also got a quote from blinds.com and there motor is through Hunter Douglas. It works on both radio wave and infrared… Do you know if this could work with my system? Would I have to buy any additional transformer/repeater?
Your best bet with Alarm.com for blinds is probably Lutron since they are actively supported by Alarm.com. Venetians aren’t currently supported but are coming soon.
