I installed a motion sensor. How do I enable alarm in away home that the sensor with through the alarm.

It sounds like you have Auto-Stay turned on. Auto-Stay is a safety feature to avoid false alarms by automatically reverting to Stay mode if you try to arm away and no entry/exit doors open during the arming countdown.
You can disable Auto-Stay on the IQ Panel under Settings > Advanced Settings > Installer Code > Installation > Security and Arming.
