Motion detectors for a 60lb dog

I have ring right now, switching to surety when my house is built in may. My 60lb dog doesn’t set off ring motion detectors. Yes they work, we trigger them no problem. I have them mounted about 8ft high.

With so many different brands, is there a specific brand I should look to that would be better?

On ring, you can change the sensitivity so I have it set to low. Not sure if this is an option with certain sensors for surety. Thank you!

Most PIR Motions with pet-immunity handle animals up to 40 lbs or so but not all have low-high sensitivity settings.

Do you have an Alarm.com compatible alarm system already? Motion sensor recommendations would be based on the panel they are being connected to.

I have sensors from Frontpoint from years ago people said would work but I’m open to buying new ones.

I plan to buy a qolsys iq4

I mean with large dogs like that I usually recommend moving the motion sensor down to about 4ft off the floor and turn the motion sensor upside down to where it’s looking out and up instead of out and down

A list of tested compatible sensors for the IQ Panel 4 can be found in the below guide. However, none of the motions listed are rated for a dog that size, they all cap out at 40Lbs.

All IQ Panel 4s work with PowerG and one legacy sensor type, 319.5, 345, or 433.
The one we offer on our storefront works with 319.5MHz and PowerG.
