I have 2 motion sensors that I have in the garage and shed. I have them set up as day senors (#5, I think) because I want to be notified when someone access the shed or garage even when the alarm is not set. Would this be the appropriate setting?
If all you’re looking for is notifications of the motion detectors, this is how I would set it up.
The motion detectors should be programmed as interior follower sensor type, but instead of selecting motion for them, set them up as contacts.
After that is done, you can setup a notification through alarm.com to alert you when those sensors are tripped.
I went ahead and changed the setting, but when I go to alarm.com under notification for sensor activity those 2 sensors are not listed. Any suggestions?
You must select the motion for activity monitoring on ADC sensor tab, then create notification
