How do I change my motion detector setting to just notify me and not the monitoring station when activated?
On the IQ Panel, the Sensor Group setting controls how the panel handles signals from that sensor. To set a motion detector to no longer generate alarm signals and only operate as a notification sensor, change the Sensor Group to 25.
Sensor group 25 can be used for notifications and automation rules, but activity won’t be forwarded to the monitoring station.
This option is found on the panel under Settings > Advanced Settings > installer code > Installation > Devices > Security Sensors > Edit Sensor.
If you are not certain of your panel installer code, you can reset it in the system manager here.
