Called monitoring center 10 minutes ago. Then again 5 minutes ago. Both times on hold to music and no one picks up. This is totally unacceptable. What’s going on Surety?
They’re likely dealing with a high volume of calls right now. Many things can cause that. Its not unusual for any monitoring center to have a spike in calls, especially during and after major storms roll through the country.
Avantguard has multiple locations that are fully networked, load balanced, and redundant. A complete system failure across all of their locations is very unlikely.
I am not seeing any notice of downtime. Avantguard operates numerous geographically distinct locations with redundancy. They have been experiencing a very high volume of signals and calls due to the impact and aftermath of Hurricane Helene, however. A short hold for incoming call-ins is possible.
